I gave up my search for my perfect mineral foundation. I've tried so many different brands (yes, even that BIG name one), but still could not find a color to match. They were either too orange or too dark or too bleh. After going through so many different foundations, I went back to my normal powder foundation.
Then something magical happened! Mineral Hygienics offered to send me one of their mineral foundations. I browsed through their shade selector and gave them my approximate skin tone. Wouldn't you know it, they sent me my perfect shade. I kid you not!
I was sent 2 shades: light tan and medium tan. I applied light tan with my mark kabuki brush, and it went on so smoothly and evenly. I could not believe how well it matched my skin tone! I first applied a light layer, then added on until I was satisfied. My skin looked flawless! I really can't gush about this product enough.
My skin is oily, and with a translucent powder on top, my skin stayed shine-free for a large part of the day.Unlike my normal powder foundation, mineral foundation provides excellent sun protection. Right now, the temperature in Palm Springs is reaching a high of 112° average. Yikes! Even though the sun beams down all day long, I don't always remember to apply sunscreen. With Mineral Hygienics, the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide offer a natural, broad-spectrum sun protection effectively blocking both UVA and UVB rays. Exactly what my makeup needs.
Mineral Hygienics offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their starter kits. The mini starter kit is only $25.99 and comes with 2 shades & a kabuki brush to help you find your perfect match.

I'm glad you found one that works well for you!!
I used to use BareMinerals for a few yrs, but it made me too shiny! Then I switched to SheerCover, which worked well, but then I learned about all the ingredients.
My fave MMU brands now are Silk Naturals & Everyday Minerals. :)
But now I just use BB Cream & MAC MSF Natural! LOL!
Everyday Minerals was my first mineral and foundation. They were pretty neat. I never tried any other brand.
Congrats on finding a match!
I bought the full starter kit a couple months ago. I am extremely impressed as well! This is my 5th company i've tried and they are the best with out a doubt!
I like this page, it helps give you ideas for the best blushes, eyeshadows, etc...

Stopping by from SITS. I've been thinking about trying mineral makeup. I have very oily skin and just hate having to use traditional foundation, even the type formulated for oily skin. Thanks for the review!
I can never find my perfect match! I cant wear mineral foundation since my skin is so dry =(
